Hi! Welcome to my home on the world wide web! Pull up a piece of floor and help yourself to a home-made peanut butter cookie!

My mom has been trying to set up a web page for MONTHS for her artwork and she's not having much luck with it, so I finally decided to take things into my own paws and show her how it's done! Jeeze mom!

I'm a Norwegian Elkhound, we're the National Dog of Norway! Isn't that cool? What's even better though is that our breed is used to hunt wolves, bears, mountain lions and elk (what you silly North American's call moose here)! Our name in Norwegian is "Elghund"; meaning "Moose dog"...not really an elk hound at all! In fact, I get a little insulted when people call me a hound!! (Not that there's anything WRONG with being a hound!) We're also used for herding, sled-pulling and (my favorite) S.A.R. (search and rescue). There are also Elkhounds being trained as assistance animals to the disabled.

January 23rd, 2005 - Quinn's got cold feet! Let's go inside!!

January 29, 2005 - Amicable buddies before the silliness starts... First, there's the face off. Who will make the first move?

With a playful growl, Quinn goes after Monty who dishes it right back in spades!

A great game of "Catch Me If You Can!" ensues with much excitement and a great ruckus. It appears in most of the photos I've taken, Monty was on the offense, but that's not so! Monty will charge her and walk away...then she comes running back for more!

Just when you think they've got it all out of their system, Quinn play bows to Monty to try to get him going again! By now though, the old fellow is tuckered out. Enough silliness for one day!

Opening of the Dining Room Window. May 16, 2003.

This window looks out over a vacant lot next door that abounds with all manner of wildlife. Today's feature was a gray squirrel less than 5' from them on the lawn. I'm shocked I managed to get them all looking at me at the same time. Heck, I'm surprised any of them even spared me a glance!

Simon the gray tabby joined us in October of 2001.
